How to Care for a Red Light Panel: Cleaning, Heat and Storage

A red light panel needs very little care: a dry cloth, clear vents and a dry place to live. Here is how to keep a MARS 400 in good shape, and what the warranty covers.

Cleaning

Switch the panel off and unplug it first. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Keep sprays and abrasive cleaners away from the LED surface, which they can damage.

Heat and ventilation

The panel can feel warm during longer sessions. That is expected, because part of the electricity becomes heat. Keep the vents clear, do not cover the panel while it is on and leave space around it. If the panel feels hot to the touch or smells of burning, switch it off, unplug it and email info@feelresty.com.

Storage in a humid flat

Hong Kong summers are humid. Store the panel in a dry room, away from the bathroom, open windows and anything that drips. If it has been somewhere very cold or damp, let it come to room temperature before you switch it on. The box is a convenient place to keep it between uses.

Mounting and moving

The panel suits a stand or a wall (see the manual for mounting). At 2.6 kg it needs a wall fixing that can carry it. Unplug it before you move it and carry it by the housing, not by the cable.

What the warranty covers

MARS red light panels are covered for 3 years from delivery during normal home use. The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects. It does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized changes or repairs, or accessories bought separately, so do not open the housing or repair the panel yourself.
